Delivery Information

As a general rule we deliver locally by our own vans and nationally (rest of the UK) by courier. Below is information on your area and also some handy FAQ’s!

 

Local Delivery

We deliver to your door using our own vans. As a general rule:
MONDAY is Edinburgh, East Lothian & Midlothian areas
TUESDAY is West Lothian, Falkirk & Stirling areas
THURSDAY is Fife up as far north as the Cupar area
Bags will be delivered to your door or a dedicated safe place, we use a tracking app and you can follow your order - it's 'live' so if you have to pop out or need to send us a message you can do so, and it will be picked up by your driver!

National Delivery

We use a courier service for the rest of the UK. The courier company uplifts from the farm every MONDAY and WEDNESDAY and are sent on a 48hr service, you'll be contacted by the courier once it arrives in the Edinburgh depot and you can track it from there. It will be packed in a box and sealed - for 25kg orders the cardboard should be removed and then store in the bag, 12.5kg orders please just store in the box.

When is my order sent out?

Local orders are delivered as follows: MONDAY – Edinburgh, East Lothian & Midlothian. TUESDAY – West Lothian, Falkirk & Stirling areas. THURSDAY – Fife.

National orders (rest of the UK) Parcelforce uplift orders by truck every Monday and Wednesday from the farm. It goes to their depot and is usually loaded onto their system by early evening

How is my order packed?

Local deliveries are in paper bags or cardboard boxes. National orders are all required to be in cardboard boxes.

How can I track my order?

As long as you have given us your email or a phone number, Parcelforce will email you and text you so you can track your order. Local deliveries run a ‘live’ delivery service app and you will get notification of where your van is.

What if my order is delayed or lost?
National deliveries should be sent a tracking number from the courier. If you have one, then in the first instance contact them directly and they will assist you. Any problems with this please get in touch with us at sales@potato-guys.com and we’ll look into it and try and get some details off our portal. Local deliveries please contact us at sales@potato-guys.com.

How long does it take to get my order?
Depending on when you order, we will send out your order on the next available option whether local or national. National orders are sent on a 48hr option so all being well it should be with you two days after it is sent.
 
 How should I store and how long will they last?

Our potatoes are unwashed so they will last in the region of 6 to 8 weeks. Store in a cool dark dry area and keep away from frost and keep the bag or box closed.

How much is postage?

Delivery is included in the price so there is nothing extra to pay.

Do you supply foodbanks?

Yes, we have 15 foodbanks that we supply on a regular basis, your purchases from us help us to donate regularly

Do you supply the catering trade?

Yes we supply hotels, restaurants & cafes. Please contact us here if interested at andy@potato-guys.com  We don’t supply chip shops.
